Responsive Web Design + XMOD Deep Dive from the QCDUG

This past week we had a great user group meeting.  I presented a quick intro session on responsive web design in DotNetNuke and then Ryan Moore of Moore Creative Company presented his part II session on module development via XMOD

We ran a live Google+ Hangout and I also videoed the sessions for posting in this blog! We did have one hiccup though… during Ryan’s session the video camera froze towards the end (not sure why). When I went back to the grab the camera it had a message on the screen saying “Recovering Data”. I did get 45:50 worth of his presentation though.

Check the videos out below...

Thanks for posting these Clint! I was recovering my voice from a cold the week before, and with the mic at the back of the room that night, I hope everyone can hear ok! Next time around, I should be able to speak more clearly : )

Anyone that wants to learn more about custom DNN solutions and development with XMod Pro should check out the links and then also visit the main DNNDev site for more info: http://www.dnndev.com/Products/XModPro.aspx

Hey Clint, thanks for presenting. I love it. BTW, it is possible to move elements around the screen as you switch between screen sizes using javascript. We do it on www.cui.edu/admissions/undergraduate. Happy hunting.

Nice responsive design demo. One thing you may want to look at incorporating is the Bootstrap framework from Twitter. I'm working on getting it into a skin pretty soon, but it has responsive media queries, plus a bevy of other features.
